Some tips for ArtPrize this year
I’ve learned a few things when logging into the platform. Once you favorite the artist, you can’t unfavorite it. Therefore, make sure you really love the piece and the artist.
Your opinion matters. The Executive Director, Craig Searer, says this platform will allow ArtPrize to truly know in real time what is trending and who likes what. This is invigorating for me. Knowing that whomever I favorite can win some money and accolades gets me excited!
I plan to support the local artists first. I love that ArtPrize brings big works and big names to the area, but I also love the fact that anyone can be an artist for this art contest. I plan to take into consideration where the artist is originally from when favoriting them.
For full transparency, this is our second year having an entry in ArtPrize. At Swift Printing, the official printer of ArtPrize, ArtPrize has become sort of a group community project that we all work on. I’m the quarterback on the whole ordeal and our team works together to pull it off. Last year we restored the Red Lion Vintage Neon. We love to support ArtPrize as many ways as possible. This year we’re the Official Printer of Art Prize and the process has been a whirlwind of excitement, but that’s not the only way we are involved with ArtPrize.

The Best ArtPrize Walk/Route to see ArtPrize
Looking for a way to see as much of ArtPrize as possible? Here’s my favorite ArtPrize route to see the best art of ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I’ve done this walk/run with friends for many years. It is a safe route to take during ArtPrize and allows you to see as much art as possible without feeling overwhelmed.
ArtPrize 2015 was a special ArtPrize for me. This was my second time doing this ArtPrize loop and I really got to enjoy the art with my friends and our children.
