Editorial Policy and Content Guidelines

At Swift Printing, we believe helpful content should be clear, accurate, practical, and grounded in real experience. Our website and blog are designed to help businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, community organizations, and individuals better understand printing, mailing, signage, marketing materials, and related services.

Our Editorial Standards

We aim to publish content that is:

Accurate
We make every reasonable effort to verify technical details, printing recommendations, mailing information, product specifications, and other factual claims before publication.

Useful
Our content is created to answer real customer questions, explain printing options, and help readers make informed decisions about their projects.

Experience-based
Many of our articles are informed by the firsthand experience of the Swift Printing team, including lessons learned from producing printed materials, preparing mailings, solving file issues, selecting paper, managing timelines, and helping customers complete successful projects.

Clear and approachable
Printing can be technical. We strive to explain it in plain language without unnecessary jargon. When industry terms are needed, we aim to define them clearly.

Original
Our content is written for Swift Printing and reflects our own knowledge, experience, perspective, and community involvement. We do not publish copied or lightly rewritten material from other sources.

Authors and Expertise

Whenever possible, articles identify the person who wrote or reviewed the content. Author biographies explain the writer’s relevant experience and connection to the subject.

Printing-related content may be written or reviewed by members of the Swift Printing team with experience in areas such as:

  • Commercial digital and offset printing

  • Direct mail and postal preparation

  • Paper selection

  • Booklets, brochures and newsletters

  • Envelopes, postcards and labels

  • Signs, banners and wide-format printing

  • Variable-data and personalized printing

  • File preparation and proofing

  • Specialty finishing and production planning

Sources and Outside Information

When an article relies on outside information, we make reasonable efforts to use trustworthy sources and link to them when appropriate. These may include official postal guidance, manufacturers, industry organizations, government agencies, or other authoritative sources.

Because printing specifications, postal regulations, pricing, software, and production methods can change, readers should confirm time-sensitive details before making final decisions.

Customer and Community Stories

Swift Printing may publish stories about customers, nonprofit organizations, local businesses, events, partnerships, or community initiatives.

When discussing customer work, we aim to:

  • Obtain permission when appropriate

  • Respect confidential or sensitive information

  • Accurately describe Swift Printing’s role

  • Clearly identify sponsorships, partnerships, or donated services when relevant

  • Avoid implying endorsement without permission

Community content is included when it has a meaningful connection to Swift Printing, our customers, our work, or the communities we serve.

Recommendations and Commercial Content

Our articles may discuss products or services offered by Swift Printing. We strive to make recommendations based on the needs of the project rather than promoting a more expensive option unnecessarily.

When several printing methods, materials, or finishes may work, we aim to explain the advantages, limitations, and practical considerations of each.

Any sponsored, paid, or affiliate content will be clearly disclosed. Swift Printing does not currently use undisclosed paid endorsements in editorial content.

Artificial Intelligence

Swift Printing may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with brainstorming, organization, editing, research preparation, or drafting.

AI-generated material is not published without human review. A member of the Swift Printing team reviews content for accuracy, relevance, clarity, and consistency with our actual services and experience.

AI tools do not replace professional judgment, customer-specific recommendations, or final production review.

Corrections and Updates

We want our content to be accurate. When we discover a meaningful error, we will correct it as promptly as practical.

Articles may also be updated when:

  • Postal rules or rates change

  • Printing technology or software changes

  • Products or services are added or discontinued

  • New information improves the usefulness of the article

When an update materially changes the meaning of an article, we may note the revision date.

No Substitute for a Project Consultation

The information on this website is general in nature. Every printing project is different, and recommendations may vary based on quantity, artwork, paper, size, finishing, mailing requirements, timeline, budget, and intended use.

For advice about a specific project, please contact the Swift Printing team so we can review the details.
