Welcome To The Printer Family Gen-nay

It is with great pleasure we announce the birth of our newest printer Gen-nay(Xerox igen 5). Pronounced like Jenny from Forest Gump :)

Born: Tuesday, June 22, 2021

Time: 11:05 a.m.

Location: Home birth at Swift Printing

We’re no stranger to the igen family this is our third igen in the past 15 years.

In 2006 we had the honor of having her older sister, the first igen90 placement in the world. Then in 2013 we had her younger sister, an igen4.

What this means for you? Well, the igen hands down has the best color management system. It uses matte dry ink so that there isn’t a gross sheen on your work. (Yes, we are print snobs and we pay attention to that so that your work looks top notch.) The difference between the igen4 and igen 5 is huge. With this new machine there is color gamut extension for blue, orange and green. It also has white and clear.

The color gamut extension is fascinating. It’s something that you have to see to believe. Take a look at these samples. Imagine what it could do for your branding. Better yet. Let us show you!

Sidebar: Yes, it's true, we can already achieve these colors when running your work on our offset presses. However, with lower quantities being the trend, now we can do it on a digital print machine as well.

This is just regular 4 color process on the igen 5. I mean that looks darn good, but wait…

This is 4 color process + Blue Spot. Now that looks great. Don’t believe me, look at them side by side.

Just look how rich that blue looks now. OOO baby!

Here it is with 4 color process + Green Spot Color.

I mean come on! That looks so good.

And my personal favorite 4 color process + spot orange.

Take a look at this! These colors were not achievable with digital printing before some genius at Xerox came up with this concept.

Now look at this with the spot white. Far left is just 4 color process. Middle is with one hit of white. Right is with two hits of white.

We’d love to show you what this new press can do for you and your brand. Please give us a call or message Walt3@swiftprinting.com and we’ll set you up with a tour and demo. (Taking proper COVID-19 precautions)

I made Walt III do a photoshoot with Gen-nay. (You know there was no way I could convince Ben to) Take a look. :)
