Swift Printing’s WestSide Stride Fun Run Halloween Costume Contest
How is it Halloween again already?!? I feel like just yesterday I was 7 months pregnant living out my best life in my fun halloween costumes. (haha)
And now here we are ready for another Halloween Fun Run. The Halloween Costume Contest marks the traditional end of the Westside Stride season.
Tuesday, October 25 we’re having our Annual WestSide Stride Pub Run/Walk Halloween Costume Contest. All fitness levels are welcome to this fun event. This event is free and family friendly.
Whether you come every year or this is your first time hearing about the fun run, this will be an exciting event where everyone is welcome.
The WestSide Stride Details for the Halloween Costume Event
The event takes place at the Red Lion Parking lot. (412 Bridge St.) starting at 6 p.m. The parking lot is a public text to pay parking lot.
The WestSide Stride’s goal is to enjoy our community while supporting our neighborhood businesses on Bridge Street.
This year's contest categories include: Most Creative, Best Group Costume, and Best Fitness Icon.
We’ll have a costume parade AKA show up in your costume and strut your stuff down the sidewalk and we’ll cheer you on.
Oh and live judges. We’ll have a judge or two decide who they think is best for each category. There will be bragging rights as well and a prize for the best costumes. Interested in judging? Please let me know.
This year we will be recording via Facebook Live so everyone can view, especially our 1300 online members!

Every Tuesday, April - October (weather permitting) the WestSide Stride meets at 6 pm to run/walk a 5K. The Stride costs nothing to participate in except for what you order to eat/drink at the chosen restaurant of the week. The coordinators estimate the WestSide Stride patrons have spent more than $100,000 at our Bridge Street establishments on Tuesday nights. The group was founded by two WestSide sisters, Jes Gutowski Slaydon and Sam Gutowski when they moved back to GR and wanted to meet people in their community. The WestSide Stride is an organization under Swift Printing, in efforts with their continued community outreach and B Corp status.
