Save The Date: 2022 WestSide Clean Up is Saturday, April 23, 2022

The Annual clean up is set to take place this year on Saturday, April 23. The community clean up registration starts at 8:30 a.m. There are several locations to sign up at this year. Once the trash collection has happened there is an afterparty at the John Ball Zoo from noon to 3 p.m.

The cleanup will be held in multiple neighborhoods (Districts) in the first ward, choose the one that is the closest to the area you would like to clean.

  • District 1: West Leonard @ West Grand Neighborhood Organization

  • District 2: Stockbridge @ Lincoln Park

  • District 3: West Fulton @ John Ball Park

  • District 4: Southwest @ Cesar Chavez Elementary

  • District 5: West Downtown @ Ah-Nab-Awen Park

Volunteers meet at their registered district site (District 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) for check-in and get their Welcome Packets.

  • Check-in - 8:30 AM

  • Cleanup starts at 9:30 AM

  • Attendees will leave their trash in designated locations (Signed for pickup)

  • Cleanup portion ends at 11:45 AM

  • Block Party at John Ball Zoo Starts - 12:00 PM

  • Event ends - 3:00 PM

A block party for volunteers at John Ball Zoo after the cleanup will include:

  • Free meal for cleanup volunteers

  • Games and Activities for Kids

  • Music

  • Vendor & Resource Booths

  • Adult Beverage Tent

  • Party for the Planet is also happening at John Ball Zoo

Each cleanup volunteer will get perks for their participation, including:

  • A welcome packet (at check-in that will include some swag)

  • A meal ticket - Good for use with the local food vendors at the Block Party

  • A free raffle ticket
