More than 1,100 Items Collected for Swift Printing’s Donation Drive for Local Homeless

All month long Swift Printing has been collecting new and gently used coats, mittens/gloves, boots, and blankets for our local Homeless Outreach Team. We collected 1,143 items. The first three days of the drive we had already fulfilled the list of items we had hoped to receive for the whole month! Because of the community’s generosity we were able to give to additional organizations such as Westwood Middle School, Sibley Elementary, Bridge Street Ministries, Kent School’s Services Network, Harrison Schools, and many more deserving organizations.

We would like to thank Walt’s good friend Mercedes Toohey who had the idea for the donation drive. Also, a big thanks goes out to Fox17’s Annie Szatkowski for covering the story and bringing wonderful attention to the cause.

The drive was paired with a fun event. February 16, Swift's WestSide Stride had their Annual Donut Dash 5K. More than 95 people registered for the event! Because there were so many people, we had to do several waves of start times to accommodate everyone and obey Covid-19 restrictions. Huge thanks to Bridge Street Market for donating the Paczki donuts.

Thank you for all your efforts on this drive. We couldn’t have done it without your help and support!
