Indulge in a Sweeter Side of Fitness at the 5th Annual Donut Dash 5K
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Get ready to lace up your running shoes and satisfy your sweet tooth at the WestSide Stride's 5th Annual Donut Dash 5K, set to take place on Tuesday, February 13, at 6 p.m. This free community running/walking event is open to participants of all fitness levels.
While the event is free of charge, organizers encourage attendees to consider making a contribution to the Grand Rapids Police Foundation. Exclusive event shirts are also available for purchase.
Participants automatically enter a raffle for attending, and for every paczki (Polish donut) consumed during the event, they earn an additional entry (up to a maximum of 3 entries). However, indulging in paczkis is entirely optional, and this event is a non-timed fun run/walk.
A special thank you goes to Swift Printing & Bridge Street Market for sponsoring this delightful event. Police Chief Eric Winstrom will kick off the event at the starting line.
To secure a spot, interested individuals can fill out the online registration form at SwiftPrinting.com/westside-signup. Participants can also choose to purchase a unique Donut Dash shirt, with all proceeds supporting the cause.
The event kicks off at Swift Printing's parking lot (412 Bridge Street NW) at 6 p.m. beneath the iconic Red Lion Neon. The parking lot, accessible 24/7 via text-to-pay at a $3 hourly rate, sets the stage for a memorable "exercise" experience. Following the event, patrons are invited to the after-party at Jolly Pumpkin.
Safety remains a top priority, and participants are urged to wear bright colors and reflective clothing/accessories.
