Highlighting the Impact: Walt Gutowski Sr. Golf Outing for YMCA Youth
The Y crew welcoming the golfers to the fun event!
The Annual Walt Gutowski Sr. Golf Outing, hosted by The YMCA, once again united golf enthusiasts and community supporters on August 14, 2023, for a day of fun, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to empowering local youth through the YMCA at Blythefield Country Club. (One of only four special events that take place on the private course for the season.)
How about these handsome fellas? :)
This event isn't just about golf swings; it's about creating ripples of positive change. The outing is a tribute to the late Walt Gutowski Sr., whose dedication to community wellness and youth development continues to inspire Swift Printing's mission. (If you didn’t know Sr. read this by Tom Rademacher)
Yup, I popped over to see a few friends then left the golfing to the pros. :)
The heart of this year's event beats for the youth—the next generation that embodies hope and potential. With every swing and putt, participants helped raise crucial funds that directly support YMCA programs designed to empower kids, cultivate leadership skills, and build a foundation for a brighter future. This year students were even out on the course to meet and interact with during the scramble.
Look at this cute 4-some. My husband, Jake Slaydon, my dad’s older brother, Shawn Sremba, my brother, Walt Gutowski III & dad, Walt Gutowski Jr.
The success of the golf outing reverberates in the lives it touches. It's a reminder that when a community rallies together, incredible things happen. The funds raised translate into life-changing opportunities for young minds, providing them with access to resources, guidance, and experiences that shape their growth. This year there were so many folks that there were two flights of golfers. Whoa!
Even Mayor Rosalynn Bliss was present on the course.
