It was so much fun Tuesday night at the Donut Dash. Huge thanks to you for coming out with positive energy and excitement.

I never truly know how many folks are going to show up and y’all turned out Tuesday night! I heard we even ran out of paczki and normally we’d have at least some left over. Nice work!

We couldn’t do this without the support of Walt & Amy Gutowski. They are committed to the WestSide Community and encourage the planning of community events to be a part of my work at Swift Printing. Walt Gutowski III came up with the donut design concept and our lead designer, Steve Hale, brought it to life for the t-shirt, flyer, and billboard.
Our awesome neighbors, Bridge Street Market, donated the paczki and several gift cards for prizes. We’re grateful for Mitch Cook (manager) and Hannah Suydan (marketing) for their localist approach to grocery.

Gazelle Sports opened their store in the perfect location downtown for our WestSide Stride course. (almost exactly 1.5 miles in) Thanks to Julie VanGuessel and Rebecca Wilkin for hosting the second stop, prizes, and discount coupons.
We packed the house at Jolly Pumpkin. (I mean what did they expect with a $2 beer special) Thank you!
This event is more about the feels, but this year we raised our highest amount to date of ONE THOUSAND AND TWENTY THREE DOLLARS!

Chief Eric Winstrom publicly committed to running with us next year, so I say we hold him to it. I mean you heard it, right? ;)
Holly Jackson, chairman of the Grand Rapids Police Foundation shared a bit about the foundation and Deputy Kristen Rogers was there as well to show their gratitude.

It was truly amazing to see so many people excited for this eating and running/walking event that supports the police foundation. Every year you all energize me to keep this event going. Thank you and here’s to next year’s Donut Dash 5K!
