Donut Dash 2026: Our Best Year Yet π©πββοΈ
Iβm still smiling.
The 8th Annual Donut Dash was truly our best year yet β and thatβs saying something. What started as a fun, slightly chaotic, sugar-fueled idea has grown into one of my favorite community traditions.
This year felt different in the best way. The energy was high, the weather cooperated (mostly!), and the turnout reminded me why I love this community so much. Families. Runners. Walkers. Competitive donut eaters. Cheerleaders. Volunteers. Police officers. Local sponsors. All showing up together.
Thatβs the magic.
Weβre still waiting on a few final donations to roll in, but as of now, we raised around $1,800 for the Police Foundation. That means real support for the men and women who serve our community every single day.
This year was also a bit bittersweet. It was the last Donut Dashes with our GRPD Chief before he heads to Pensacola, Florida for a new opportunity. He has been a strong, steady presence over the past four years and truly helped set the compass in the right direction for our department. He will absolutely be missed.
At the same time, weβre excited to see Chief Trigg continue building on that foundation and carry the work forward.
The Donut Dash is never just about the run. Itβs about connection. Itβs about supporting public safety in a fun, lighthearted way. Itβs about proving that you can do serious good while not taking yourself too seriously.
To everyone who registered, donated, volunteered, sponsored, or simply cheered from the sidelines β thank you. You made this year unforgettable.
Already dreaming about next year. ππ©
