A Unique Printing Solution for Arrowaste
With a mission statement like “keeping a clean local West Michigan,” it’s not hard for us to love the team over at Arrowaste! They are a full-service waste and recycling company that services residential, commercial and industrial clients throughout the West Michigan area: from Cedar Springs to Dorr and Lake Michigan to Lowell.

At Swift, our roots with Arrow go deep – it’s a classic friend’s cousin’s mother’s brother type of deal. As the company was formerly EverKept, for years there has been a family connection between the Swift team and Arrowaste team families.
We take on all kinds of projects for Arrowaste, including pop-up banners, printed materials, mailers, flyers and postcards. Whatever they need, we can make it happen (most often, swiftly!) but one of our favorite projects has been the specialized trash tags that customers find on their carts when an extra dose of customer service is needed.
TRASH TAGS
It’s not every day that we get a call from a client to make up some tags for trash (and recycle) carts, but we sure did meet this challenge – and exceed it! The Arrow team always puts their customers first and aims to fix problems before they arise, like unpaid trash bills that result in missed pickups! The week before they stop servicing a client due to lack of payment, they leave a tag on their trash cart with a kind note to call the Arrowaste customer service team. This tag needs to be waterproof, wind-proof, tear-proof, and easy and quick to install. They use thousands of these tags each month, so Arrow also needed to be conscious of the pricing structure.
“The team at Swift knows our brand and they approach customer service and local business with intentionality,” says Diane Druckenmiller, Director of Public Relations at Arrowaste. “We knew right away that they were the people to support us on figuring out this important tag process!”
It took months of testing to find the exact right cardstock paper for the tags, but we were up to the challenge! Our design team helped figure out the exact right solution: a colorful tag made of strong paper with a reinforced hole and stretchy string. It’s small enough for the drivers to keep a pre-counted stash in their trucks, quick and easy to place on curbside carts and the product will withstand all different types of weather. Most importantly for Arrowaste – it fits the job needs and the budget!
