This community event was free of charge. Participants were asked to consider donating to the Grand Rapids Police Foundation. We raised $235 for the GRPF with the sale of shirts and donations.

Patrons received an entry into a raffle just for coming to the event. For every paczki consumed another entry will be given. However, there is no pressure to eat paczkis. This is not a timed race - it is a fun run/walk.

Huge thanks to the Bridge Street Market for donating the paczkis!

After the walk and/or run we went to Fratellis Kitchen and Bar to celebrate and support our neighbor on Bridge Street.

###

The WestSide Stride Community pub run/walk is a group of really cool people that live on the Westside and in the Greater Grand Rapids area. They love their community and enjoy a healthy-ish lifestyle. They are all fitness levels and are in many different stages of life. Every Tuesday from April to October (weather permitting), the group meets at 6 pm to run/walk a 5K. After the exercise, they meet up for beverages and dinner at one of the many local Bridge Street establishments. The saying, “There is always room for one more!” is the philosophy for this weekly event. The group was founded by two WestSide sisters, Jes Gutowski Slaydon and Sam Gutowski when they moved back to GR and wanted to meet people in their community. The WestSide Stride is an organization under Swift Printing Co., in efforts with their continued community outreach and BCorp mission.
