This year’s donations 100% of the proceeds will go towards Grand Rapids Police Foundation. The foundation funds community outreach, youth programs, and other programs that often gets cut when funding is tight. You can learn more at their website https://www.grpolicefoundation.com.

What is the Donut Dash?
The Donut Dash is a fun, community 5K run/walk hosted by Swift Printing. Participants enjoy a relaxed 3-mile run or walk, stop for a paczki, then head back for more donuts and fun. It’s all about community, not competition.

Do I have to run?
Not at all! All fitness levels are welcome. You can run, jog, walk, or cheer—whatever feels right for you.

Do I have to eat the paczki?

No, there is 3 opportunities to eat paczki, but you certianly do not have to it’s completely optional.

Is there a GF option?

Unfortunately at this time there is not, feel free to bring your own.

Is there a registration fee?
No. There is no fee to participate. We do ask that everyone complete the registration form so we know you’re coming.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. If this is your first time participating, please be sure to sign the waiver when you register.

Where does the event start and end?
The Donut Dash begins and ends at Swift Printing. 412 Bridge Street under the Red Lion Neon Sign. Along the route, participants will enjoy paczki stops to keep the fun (and energy) going. The event ends at BroadLeaf 443 Bridge St. NW

Who does the event support?
The Donut Dash supports the Grand Rapids Police Foundation. All shirt sales and donations go to the foundation.

Do I have to buy a shirt to participate?
No, purchasing a shirt is optional. However, shirt purchases and donations are encouraged as they help support the cause.

What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to check in, grab your shirt if you purchased one, and enjoy the pre-run energy.

What should I wear?
Comfortable running or walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Donut Dash shirts are encouraged if you have one!

Can I bring friends or family?
Absolutely! The Donut Dash is a community event and is family-friendly. Strollers are welcome—just please be mindful along the route.

Will there be volunteers to help?
Yes! Volunteers will be on site to welcome participants, answer questions, hand out shirts, help with paczki, and keep everyone safe.

  • 6:05 p.m.: Chief Eric Winstrom's pumps us up! Check the GRPD Foundation's website.

  • 6:20/7:00 p.m.: Optional stop at Gazelle Sports’s Downtown location (52 Monroe Center St NW) for paczki.

  • 6:30/7:30 p.m.: Optional stop at Bridge Street Market (405 Seward Ave NW) for paczki.

  • 6:35/7:40 p.m.: Party at BroadLeaf WestSide

  • 7:30 p.m.: Prizes, generously provided by sponsors.
